New Xbox Dashboard: Wait what?
Is it just me or did nobody know about this? I mean it isn't out yet and probably won't be for months but damn it looks sexy.Really Microsoft, stop hiding the good stuff from E3. Show some of this off. Hmmm yeah!!
Although this could be bad. From the pics I've seen it looks kinda iffy on getting my information the way I want it. Also too touch screen looking. Ah whatever it does look nice.

In a message to gameinformer Doug Lombardi said plain and simple that the rumors on Half Life 3 were just that, rumors. At this point I am getting really mad at Valve. Bethesda dun goofed: User info possibly stolen
An official statement from Bethesda states:
“Over the past weekend, a hacker group attempted an unlawful intrusion of our websites to gain access to data,” the company said.
“We believe we have taken appropriate action to protect our data against these attacks. While no personal financial information or credit card data was obtained, the hackers may have gained access to some user names, email addresses, and/or passwords.
“As a precaution, we recommend that all our fans immediately change passwords on all our sites – including our community forums and the statistics site we maintain for Brink players.
“If your username/email address/password is similar to what you use on other sites, we recommend changing the password at those sites as well,” it added.
“As we don’t know what further plans the hackers may have, we suggest that you keep an eye out for suspicious emails and account activity.
“We regret any inconvenience that these attacks on us cause for you. These attacks will be evaluated to determine if there are any additional protections we might take that would be prudent.”
I love Bethesda and I wish them luck in the future. I hope this doesn't effect them too negatively. :(
Hitman Absolution: I've lost faith in Gaming
Hitman Blood Money is one of my all time favorite games (one of many) and when I heard it was finally getting a new game in the series I was excited. Well not anymore. Battlefield 3: Multiplayer Trailer
Although I said my opinion is wavering...I can't help but be amazed by this trailer. lol
It isn't looking good for my opinion on Battlefield 3...
EA and DICE are chopping Battlefield 3 into store-specific pre-order DLC. Weapons and gear are being cut out of the core game and made exclusive. Say hello to the Physical Warfare Pack and goodbye to the T88 LMG, the first of many to come.
This isn't something new but that isn't cool. It gives an unfair advantage to people. -_-
Edit: DICE's community manager has said that the weapons do less damage then they originally did.

This is a bunch of info taken from a pretty secret media blast that's been doing the rounds and is under embargo until the Halo celebration event. This document is for media outlets and they'll no doubt be publishing these details later in August during the event. This is not an exact copy of the document but a paraphrased version from a journalist.
"Halo 4 returns players to the story of the Master Chief and Cortana in the events that follow the conclusion of Halo 3. Players will experience an all new story and introduce a new roster of enemies and weapons to the Halo experience. Set against the top secret Forerunner planetoid known to ONI as Sigma 7, players will encounter a dark new foe and unravel more of the mysteries behind the forerunners and the Office of Naval Intelligence.
At the heart of Halo 4 is a stronger focus than ever before behind story telling and player choice. Players will be offered an unprecedented level of customization and a narrative experience never before seen in a first person shooter. On a technical level Halo 4 pushes the boundaries of the action genre by incorporating larger battlefields than ever before and players will experience conflicts that seamlessly span land, sea and space.
Halo 4 will expand the series trademark arsenal of weapons and vehicles beyond any other title so far. Players can expect fan favorites to return along with new additions. Halo 4 will also feature the revolutionary new Arsenal Improvisation Mechanics that allow for menu-free, creative customization of weapons and vehicles in the heat of combat. At the moment it seems 343 are focusing on the new and improved story and weapons system (of which the new AIM mechanic is only mysteriously alluded to) but there was some video shown that fills in some of the gaps. Halo 4 is set on a Forerunner planet that has an inner and outer surface that provides two distinct styles. The outside is very industrial and features a wide range of hostile Forerunner tech and AI. The video showed space combat here. The inside of the planetoid is hollow and is sectioned off in to many tiers/bands (almost resembling Halo rings) that feature a myriad of natural environments not only resembling earth's but many other alien terrains. The video featured combat across a multitude of environments from space to mountains, plains and oceans. Presumably, ONI had been top secretly researching the planet for some. There are UNSC forces on the planet but they look really degraded and disorganized and it was implied that they may be divided into factions and warring with each other. At one point we see a heavily modified warthog that has had the wheels replaced two kind of anti gravity devices. At another point the Chief is clearly sprinting which possibly implies a return of armor abilities. There was no sign of the Flood or the Covenant but at the very end of the trailer the 'dark new threat' was hinted at. The video ends with the Chief standing at a dark cave entrance and from within can be heard some menacing gurgling and grunting. Cortana says "They're coming back ... and there's a LOT more of them this time", the Master chief then readies a new weapon that looks like a cross between a rocket launcher and a Needler and it focuses on his helmet and visor and a number of strange digital effects ripple across his visor then the videos ends.

MW3 vs Battlefield 3
It's an official battle between the two giants. According to Electronic Arts CEO John Riccitiello he choose the same release date has MW3 because he was sure that EA has the better game and I am in agreement. In the CNBC article I read he quoted the fact that EA has been working on a new game engine for 4 years while CoD has been adding to the same old engine over and over and over again.
I think the choose is simple. Pick Battlefield 3 and knock CoD off the charts.

Taking Back some comments on the Wii U
I've heard and seen some more and I must apologize. The Controller was not what the Console is. I was judging based on a horrible name.
Happily it seems up to gaming standards for Xbox games and ect. So I see more third parties devoloping also for Wii U. I wish we learned more about the console instead of the controller. It was confusing and a pretty bad show.

Halo 4 Trailer Breakdown by FSG CCWeiner
Hello everyone, my friend isn't a contributor to the blog yet but he wrote a trailer breakdown that I want to share with you all. So here it is:
I just watched the Halo 4 trailer seven times and think I can break it down for you. The trailer starts off with you inside John's brain and you hear Kortana in the background yelling for John to help. Eventually the video goes outside his brain and we see that he is in a cryogenic storage tube (at least that is what I think it is). He smashes out of the tube. He then grabs Kortana then gets some type of mystery missile pistol that he then shoots at a wall to get out of the ship that what seems to be half gone. The trailer ends with John reloading the mystery missile pistol and is standing there on the wreckage of what is left of the ship.
The end. I can't wait to see more from Halo 4 even if I don't like the idea of it existing. I also look forward to more posts from FSG CCWeiner.

Sony is better than all of the conferences in the first 5 minutes.

E3 2011: Ubisoft Final Thoughts
Which was worse? Microsoft or Ubisoft? I can't decide. I think Microsoft had more class. Then again Ubisoft showed SOME things I care about. Idk. I'm torn here.

I missed the first part because I was making food. From what I heard from my room it sounded weird. I'll Pick up after they showed Rayman.

E3 2011: EA Final Thoughts
Better than Microsoft and a great show case. Overall it was awesome. Now moving into Ubisoft I'm a little scarred because we all remember last year.
E3 2011: EA Conference Log
- Need For Speed is shown. Looks pretty cool. New on Foot gameplay. I've always wanted that in need for speed. Even if it doesn't fit.
- SWTOR shown off from Bioware. Not sure how I feel about this. I love star wars but Bioware hasn't been too good lately. (In my opinion. Neil will be like "NOOOOO!!!") The Trailer looks pretty good. I'll embed it later if I can remember. If I don't just look it up on Youtube. The huge problem I have is that the gameplay won't be like the trailer. It's a MMO after all.
- EA shows off stupid game (SSX?) that had a promising trailer at first. I was watching it and thought it was a Episode 3 trailer. Although that wouldn't make any sense being at this show. I suspect if we see that announcement it will be from Sony.
- FIFA showed off. Not a fan...is anyone? lol the injury system doesn't look that bad. Someone should use that tech in another type of game.
- Football Game Shown. I'm not a fan...again.
- Sims Social Shown and looks pretty stupid. Why mix a sim life with a real one? Isn't that counter productive? Sims has always been like fantasy life and stuff. lol
- Shout outs to the peeps in the audience. lol
- Reckoning shown. This developer doesn't have the best track record but maybe they've got their feet wet and this will be good. Inspired by Oblivion and Morrowind...kinda sounds cheap. "Let's steal ideas from really awesome games. YEAH GOOD PLAN"
- Overstrike multiplatform for Xbox and PS3. This is awesome I love this developer and now I can share the joy of their games. This looks awesome times two.
- Battlefield time. Looks good. I mean why wouldn't it? It's fuckin Battlefield. I swear I'm going to have to get this game. It looks amazing. Frostbite 2? Ohhhh looks smexy. Dice has my respect. Lets hope they don't fuck this up. I'm probably going to get this on PC though if my PC can play it. Dice is more about PC. Also basically CoD Elite is free. Except not retarded Call of Duty. BETA...ITS GONNA HAVE A BETA. I hope I dont need Bad Company to get in. Or medal of honor. Although I must say even though this looks good Dice doesn't have a good record on games. At least the newer ones. Medal of Honor and Bad Company weren't very good. Then again I played on the xbox so it probably wasn't as good. I can already tell this game is worth at least a rent though.

I got my hopes up for something huge and was let down. I don't watch E3 for games I already know about and new Casual games. I really hoped for some huge announcement that would rock my socks. Sadly Microsoft didn't deliver and now I'm left with only hope for the other conferences.
